Advances in microscopy allow us to capture living cells in unprecedented detail. Each frame encodes rich information about cell shape, texture, and dynamics, creating a multidimensional dataset that is difficult to interpret with standard analytical methods. In this talk, I will present some computational approaches for transforming these complex imaging datasets into quantitative descriptors of cell behavior. By combining time-series feature extraction with machine learning, we can uncover morpho-temporal signatures that enable us to understand how cells respond to perturbations. I will show demonstrate this framework in the context of neutrophil extracellular trap formation (NETosis) using lattice lightsheet microscopy, providing new insights into how different treatments can shape the dynamics of this immune response.
