Keith Satterley
Research Activities:
Keith's current interests are in sequence related Bioinformatics. He administers the Celera accounts at WEHI and is pursuing projects involving sequence database searching, sequence analysis, genome annotation tools. He has completed a substantial project in the Java programming language and is interested in the Biojava project which is developing programming interfaces useful to Bioinformaticians.He spent 10 years in the WEHI IT Centre managing and supporting Microsoft Windows servers and workstations, and generally supporting a large base of WEHI users on Macintosh, Unix, MSWindows and VMS workstations. He moved to the Bioinformatics group in May 2000. Before WEHI he was a Mathematics and Computing Studies teacher in the Victorian Education Department.
