The field of biomedical imaging is rapidly expanding ; changing ; and innovating. We now have access to a wide variety of instruments to study biological processes ; from changes in subcellular structure to tissue biopsies and medical imaging. Storing ; annotating ; and interpreting these diverse datasets can be technically challenging ; but quantitative image analysis continues to be indispensable in modern academic and pharmaceutical research toolboxes ; as well as in clinical settings. In this talk ; I will present a window into some of my efforts to establish biomedical image analytics capability in Australia's largest biotech company.
